The concert taped was their second show at in, the also played as the opening act, and have their own DVD footage of the concert. It was filmed on August 23, 2003 and the DVD was released on November 17, 2003. The DVD shows the full concert except for the song covered by guitarist and ', because Frusciante broke a string during that song. Additionally, a mistake made by Frusciante during ' has been edited on the DVD. The DVD was received with mixed reviews, but most gave the live footage a seal of approval.
This concert took place on August 23, 2003 as at the massive venue of Slane Castle, Ireland, a venue previously headlined by U2, among others. It was one of two one off shows that the Chili Peppers played in the UK that month, following their triumphant appearance at the V festival. Upon release, Columbus Alive columnist Wayne King declared the DVD to be the 'greatest live concert of all time.' The DVD artwork is also noteworthy for its lack of quality photographs and 'thrown-together' packaging compared to similar live concert DVDs released by other artists. Following the concert, 's cover of can be heard playing through the venue's speakers as outro music while fireworks go off in the air.
